    An engaged Ten Thunders Archer tends to be a useless Archer, their Df is too low to disengage and their Leap Aside trigger is unreliable, so it's good to have ways of getting them out. Sensei Yu and Oiran are good support for them thanks to Airburst and Lure respectively. Don't obsess about freeing an Archer just because though; if using Sensei Yu to plant a scheme marker gives you VP and saving the Archer doesn't, go with the VP.
    On the master side of things, any master with a melee focus can appreciate them thanks to being able to soften up or finishing off engaged models at range without any fear of hitting unwanted targets. Shenlong can get extra good use out of them, since he allows them the ability to use Focused as a 0 action, letting them be able to move, get Focus +2 and shoot, to Rapid Fire with one of the shots benefiting from Focus +2 or getting Focus +2 and using Hail of Hachinosu, giving it the bite to reliably be able to drop blast markers. McCabe is another master who can get good results out of them thanks to his ability to push them out of trouble with Loan and his ability to give one his Glowing Sabre, giving it a good way to use their sky high Cg of 8.

    Hail of Hachinosu for each Archer at the end of the turn is nothing to sneeze at. Some particular models to consider carrying the upgrade:
    Shenlong lets nearby Archers Focus as a 0 action, and can keep them Fast (with Wandering River Style) and/or healed (with Low River Style). His Peasants can also give them Focus using Provide for the Temple, and Sensei Yu's Master of the Wandering River Style gives them a little extra bonus when using all that Focus.

    Sidir Alchibal can use By Your Side to keep the Archers safe, and will be happy to stand next to them and shoot.
    Toshiro isn't the best choice, since the Archers can't benefit from his melee attack bonus, but he can make the Archers Fast or Focused with his 0 actions.

    Engage them as quick as possible. Once engaged either your opponent will have to send something to help them get out or dedicate his support AP to move the Archer or whatever is engaging him to free him up.

    Ototo, or ("Little Brother" as his buddies like to call him) is an expensive pure Ten Thunders brawler. He can take a beating and when hurt, can dish it back with interests. He does have a hard time balancing how wounded you want him to be at his most dangerous without getting him killed. Outside of punching people and getting punched, there isn't much else he will be doing, being pretty focused on those aspects.

    Ototo's mobility is pretty average, he has a nice Wk of 5 and an average Cg of 6. His threat is still quite big though thanks to his Melee range of 3" on his Massive Tetsubo. His other mobility advantage is the Shove Aside ability

    The Samurai are mixed enforcers that can do melee combat, ranged support and tank. Thanks to his 3 favor upgrades (Favor of Heaven, Favor of Jigoku and Favor of Earth) he can specialize to be more mobile, a better gun platform or more resilient. Do keep in mind that any of these 3 upgrades will take the Samurai's only upgrade slot, but are still 0 SS choices for him and give his base form the oomph to make him worth his 8 SS cost.

    Master Synergies
    Using the Shoulder Gatling is a big risk outside of the Jigoku variety, but without that upgrade it can still be used well with the Brewmaster or Ama No Zako. Both can make him shoot with Obey/Choose Your Poison/Promising Whispers and not take damage since it was done outside of the Samurai's activation. The Brewmaster's ability to debuff with the Swill condition is also huge to let them be able to shoot with less fear of damaging themselves, while also letting you get good use out of lower rams.

    Interestingly, an Earth-Samurai can work really well with Misaki. The risk of taking damage on the miss makes it very temping for your opponent to cheat their defense flip against a Shoulder Gatling. If they don't you get to hurt their guys from 14" away, but if they do the Samurai is not completely stuffed (as above, 5 wounds plus armor +2 is still very respectable...especially if you can heal him later). More importantly, Misaki loves it when the opponent cheats form their hand, since it gets her that much closer to killing the enemy crew with her "Discard or Die" assassination trigger.
    All varieties of Samurai also appreciate McCabe. They love getting Nimble from the Badge of Speed, although Regeneration +2 from the Elixir of Life is also very good on them. This is especially true for he Earth Samurai, since it that healing reduces risk of killing himself with the Shoulder Gatling.

    Don't forget you can use Entwine Spirit to sacrifice a friendly model to increase the Ca of Kirai's actions. This also applies to Ca actions from Kirai's upgrades. Very useful if you want to summon a more powerful model but are unable to because of your cards or need to buff your spirits.
    The Izamu Slingshot- Take Izamu, give him unnerving aura and keep him close to Kirai, use turn one to move him and Kirai up a notch. Have a lesser spirit further up the field in LoS to a target within 9".Activate Kirai first and use Swirling Spirits to place Izamu base to base on the edge closest to your target. Use Into the Spirit World to move base to base with Izamu, use your last AP to sunder them and put Adversary on them. Chain activate into Izamu, charge in and use your 3 attacks to wreck face. If they waste AP trying to disengage and fail they still take 2 damage, if they harm Izamu you summon Ikiryo, or a fun combo. It's a terrible sandwich for your opponent to taste.

    Kirai is a support master, and while she can pull off some nasty damage with Sundering and Bloody Shears, both have triggers that benefit the crew. As such, she is best used buffing allies and recycling near-dead spirits into fresh ones or cards. Keep your spirits close so they can gain full benefit from her buffs or being able to fuel her magics and defense.

    The Huntin' Tools (supposedly, that's that mallet he carries around) have a good Ml, but low range. At first glance, the damage profile is rather bad for such an expensive model. However, he has the Ram for the Guild typical Critical Strike built in, making it acceptable, even great, if you Soulstone and/or flip additional Rams. If your victim is Burning, however, things get ugly. His Dg spread is now a ridiculous 5/6/7 to make even Lady Justice envious, and that's even before flipping additional Rams.
    Alternatively, Samael can declare Drain Magic on a Crow and force the opponent to discard a card. A good trigger, especially if the target would die even without Critical Strike.

    Ryle Hoffman is the older brother of C. Hoffman and the end result of breach psychosis and the wonders of Ramos. This once-brilliant individual was almost destroyed entering Malifaux, and only Ramos' hasty work was able to rebuild him into the creature he is now.
    Ryle is a melee oriented construct with above average damage tracks and a few tricks to stay alive.

    He has a strictly below average Walk and Charge but his (0) Socially Repressed allows him to push 4" aways from a model within 12" so with good positioning you can move him 12" a turn. The Socially Repressed action also allows him to escape melee easily if needed (eg. taking interact actions).

    The other Trigger Raking Fire requires an extra Ram and allows you to take the Modified Steam Gatling attack against another model which has not been targeted with it this activation. It also comes with no restriction on the number of times you can use it, so as long as you have soulstones or Rams in hands and eligible targets you can keep on firing away. This is immensely powerful against crews that clump together such as gremlins or spider swarms. However, against more elite crews you will find yourself using Concentrated Burst almost exclusively.

    Firstly he has Armor +1 and decent wounds take the edge off weaker attacks. He also has the Grinding Halt Trigger to gain an additional Armor +2 with Tomes on his Df. This means you can often pitch a weak tomes or spend a soulstone to cut 4 damage down to 1, however it cannot protect himself from attacks that target Wp or those that ignore Armor.
    He can also heal with (0) Field Repairs at the cost of a card, letting him recoup wounds in the thick of things whenever you don't need to use Socially Repressed. This can also be used on friendly constructs, which is a handy way to spread the healing around.

    Tricks and Tips While Joining a Crew
    Ryle is a construct so he has obvious synergies with C. Hoffman. Hoffman can Power Loop Ryle to increase his stats and use Machine Puppet to get around his low mobility and provide more attacks.

    He is also a good choice for any crew that wants a shooting model with some extra melee punch, meaning Sonnia and Perdita might like to take him as insurance against enemies getting too close to them.

    An interesting addition to the above comes in the form of Mr. Tannen, who can use Bore to Tears to debuff an enemy's Wk value, making it MUCH easier for Sidir to damage and Slow them with Empty the Magazine. As Tannen can be taken as Ten Thunders, he is an excellent friend for Sidir in this Faction; alternatively he may be taken as part of a Lucius crew, allowing Guild players to have access to this trick under more limited circumstances.

    Strategies and Schemes
    Sidir benefits from long lines of sight, and clustered enemies, any Schemes which rely on you dominating sections of the board or defending a particular piece or place could make good use of Sidir.

    The Peacekeeper is the Guild's massive premiere construct used to enforce the law in Malifaux. In game the Peacekeeper brings heavy armor and powerful weaponry as well has Scheme manipulation ability. These positives come with the drawback of low defense and high cost.
